9. Affinity Outdoor Service mobile application:
This section applies to the Affinity Outdoor Service app, used by authorised Affinity Outdoor service technicians to carry out scheduled field work. It supplements the policy above.
9.1 Information the app collects
- Account details. You sign in with the email address and password issued to you by Affinity Outdoor. Your email address is sent to our servers to authenticate you. A session token is stored securely on your device and removed when you sign out.
- Photographs. The app uses the camera to record the condition of equipment and completed work. Photographs are stored on the device and uploaded to our servers as part of the service record.
- Service records. Details of the work you carry out, including notes, fault reports and support tickets that you write, together with the equipment and site the work relates to.
- Employee details. Your name, email address, mobile number and role are shown in the app. This information comes from Affinity Outdoor’s own records; the app displays it and does not collect it from you.
9.2 Information the app does not collect
The app does not collect your location. Maps shown in the app are images of fixed site locations supplied by our systems.
The app contains no analytics, tracking or advertising technology. It does not collect device identifiers or advertising identifiers, does not use cookies, and does not access your contacts, calendar, photo library, health or financial information.
9.3 How the information is used
Information collected through the app is used solely to schedule, carry out and record field service work, and to support and maintain the app. It is not used for marketing, is not sold, and is not used to build a profile of you.
9.4 Third parties
Map images are supplied by Mapbox. Only the coordinates of the site being displayed are sent to Mapbox; no personal information and no information about your device’s location is sent. If you choose to open directions, the site address is passed to Apple Maps or Google Maps, which handle that request under their own privacy policies. No other third party receives information from the app.
9.5 Retention and deletion
Service records, including photographs, are retained for seven years to meet our operational, contractual and legal obligations. Photographs are held on your device until they have been uploaded successfully.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, contact us at it@affinityoutdoor.com.au. Where information forms part of a service record we are required to retain, we will explain what we can and cannot delete.
